About a month ago I sat down and wrote out a list of things that I was not happy with in my life. Everything from finances to career to personal issues, I put it all out in front of me. By no means was this an easy list to face. Looking at a page full of things that you don’t like about yourself or your life is not something you can find much joy in; however, what I did find within all of the words that filled the page was some motivation.
What is a girl to do when realizing that she needs to get healthy both mentally and physically? How does she handle realizing that she is wasting time in the job she is in? Well, she gets her butt off the couch, signs up at a gym, and revamps her resume!
The past few weeks have been devoted to me pushing myself mentally, physically, and emotionally in order to take on this dreaded list of doom. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been necessary. As with most things, I know that this will take time and I may not see results from my hard work right away. I also know that in due time, things will start to take shape and will fall into a better place. This quote (above) reminds me of that. You have to ask, to question, to do in order for your life to mold the way you want it to. You cannot just sit back and wait for it to come walking over to you. It’s just not that easy.
Hopefully you all find some Monday motivation in this quote. Let me know some of the things you want to work on in your own life and how you stay motivated to change them!Pin It
