Happy Monday love bugs!! This post is hitting the airways a little late in the day, but I hope that you can all forgive me and join me for another week.
Today is a pretty significant day for me. I made a bit of a career move in going back to my former employer today and while I swore I would never work there again, something feels right about this decision. I agreed to return to the company with a different title and with a whole new outlook in mind. This is necessary because corporate America can chew you up and spit you right back out; however, I have learned a lot over the past 10 years and feel prepared to use the life lessons of the work place to my advantage. I also plan to use this as a platform to continue perusing my real dreams.
Today also marks the official one year anniversary for ‘A’ and I! Now, you know that you are in a solid relationship when you can say “I can’t believe it’s only been a year” and that “it seems like so much longer than a year” all in one breath. Without getting too sappy on you all: the past year with ‘A’ has taught me so much about myself and about my relationships with the people in my life. I have learned values such as patience, compromise, compassion, selflessness and gratitude. I have also learned a lot about what I want in other people and how they treat me.
It feels pretty damn good to be 30 and to be a little more secure in myself and what I want out of life. I definitely still have a lot to learn and a lot to accomplish, but I am willing to put that work in. This past year has been a crazy one with lots of ups and downs, but I am feeling prepared to take on what is yet to come.
