Happy Monday Beauties! So, before I start with this week’s Motivational Monday, can we just give it up for Mother Nature this weekend? I mean sun and eighty degree weather? Clutch.
This weekend was great for a few reasons and yes, the weather was one of them. While it’s nice to be heading into another week of Spring, it’s slightly depressing that this weekend went so quickly. Let’s face it, last week wasn’t easy, but this past weekend has encouraged me to push forward and try to focus on all of the good things that I have going for me right now.
I have always wondered why it is so much easier to dwell on the negative than it is to bask in the positive. Why is it that we can skip over the things we should be most grateful for just so we can go spend days and weeks harboring negativity towards the rough times we may have to endure? I guess we can chalk it up to human nature, but I refuse to let that become the norm. It’s time to start acknowledging all of the good and looking forward to what is to come. Running across this stunning quote on Pinterest just made it all the more fitting.
It’s the idea of having no idea who/where/what is about to come into your life that makes the future so interestingly exciting. Last year on this exact day, I would have had not even the faintest idea that I would have endured half of the things I have in the past year. There are people in my life that didn’t exist back then, big life changes that have shifted my entire sense of self, and dreams floating around me that weren’t even a thought in my mind back then. So, while there will always be rough times and it’s not shameful to suffer through them, it’s important to be sure that you also realize the existing motivation that is around you. If that doesn’t help, then truly consider all of the amazing and adventurous days that have yet to even happen to you. Maybe facing that exciting unknown is really all we need to know.Pin It
