Alright, if you have not guessed it as of yet, then you have not been paying attention to this blog as of late. Of course you are getting you Motivational Monday approximately one hour before Tuesday because I (along with 80% of Americans) have been running around like a crazy lady getting ready for Christmas. Team Procrastination!
This past week was a total whirlwind for me. Between getting ready for the holidays, working on freelance goodies plus a full time job, I just about ran out of steam. Although this sounds like a pretty crappy week it actually wasn’t. What started out as a painful stressful week filled with extra girly meltdown moods, turned into a pretty decent week for me. Part of this positive note was one of the most amazing emails I have ever received falling into my Inbox. The email was from the one and only Linda Poindexter. That’s right – the very woman whose quote I used for last week’s Motivational Monday, emailed me directly to not only thank me for using her words, but to actually introduce herself to me. I know – how major, right?
Receiving this email was such a highlight for me. It’s a pretty epic feeling to know that others make their way over to your site to read what you have to say. So, when you see someone that you look up to doing that very same thing, it kind of makes you feel on top of the world. Talking to Linda about her work and how her words inspired some of my own writing, it made me start to think about the possibility that we all have inside of us. I never thought that I would actually create my very own blog. I never thought that very blog would allow me to write for others. I certainly never could have imagined that anyone would want to read my writing as much as I do. Yet, all of these things have come true for me and it has me thinking that maybe believing in myself and all of my abilities is really the key to it all. If I have been able to accomplish this much without even really knowing the scope of my abilities, imagine what adding a little belief would do?
Because this is the week of Christmas, it is the perfect time to encourage each other to believe. Having a little faith in who you are, what you can do, and the person you can be is big deal. Believing in yourself can make all the difference and most importantly, can give you the drive to push yourself to places you might not normally go. So pull out your purpose people and start believing!Pin It
