Hey everyone. I would like to apologize for the super-duper late Motivational Monday post. Hey, better late than never right? My internal procrastination kicked in this morning and then I pulled a 12hr day at work…….so needless to say I’m pooped. In fact, I will be completely honest with you all; I even contemplated not doing a Motivational Monday this week. I know, I know….how dare I give up on Motivational Monday. Isn’t the point to motivate others? Well here I am and I am making a promise to both myself and all of you that I will not quit on you!
It’s funny because I actually hate the word ‘quit.’ It’s such a negative word and it can really defeat people. Sure, you don’t want to be known as a quitter, but sometimes that isn’t such a bad thing. I mean who would yell at someone who quit smoking or any other bad habit? Not me! When I was actually digging up some info on the word quit for this post, I was surprised that most of the definitions aren’t really that negative. So what is with the negative stigma that comes with quitting? The reason: because we all equate quitting with failure and that isn’t always the case.
There are plenty of instances where quitting something is the necessary option and you shouldn’t feel bad about your decision. There’s quitting addiction, quit teasing your baby brother, and who wouldn’t want half of those American Idol contestants to quit singing? Even with this being said, the reality is that when it comes to something you love and something you feel passionate about, quitting is not an option. I am passionate about Motivational Monday (for me and for you) and a million other things in life so whenI found this amazing poster on Pinterest, I just had to share it. So, if you will, join me while I quit slacking and make some shit happen!
