The past week here in Philly has been what I would refer to a dreadful. It felt like we had skipped right over Fall and ran directly into Winter. On top of the cold weather, we also got to enjoy non-stop rain thanks to the wonderful Joaquin who graced us with his presence all week long. Thankfully, the weather has made a turn for the better and for the first time in a whole week, the sun is showing it’s beautiful face.
The weather may be improving, but I am still recovering from the past week. Along with dreary days, came a very unproductive Rachel. I found myself starting a bunch of projects and then losing my luster shortly after. This left me with a bunch of half-assed projects laying around and little to no direction for me to work off of.
To help me get it together, I am turning to the one and only, Maya Angelou. It is her wisdom and incredible way with words that always lifts me up and makes me want to make something magical. This simple quote is direct and to the point which is exactly what I need to get myself going. A reminder that the things that I need to get done are not going to do themselves. I have to stand up, grab my inner motivation and get to work. This week I have made sure to write myself a schedule and to be sure that I complete the things I have started.
Hopefully this quote gives all of you the good kick is the ass that you may need this week.
