Welcome ladies & gents, to another Friday with another round of love for an Instagramer. I became very productive this week (and no, I’m not kidding) by compiling a list of the Instagram accounts that I want to feature on the blog. Now we are simply scrolling through that very list and checking each one off as we go.
I wanted to be sure that I did a post on Skyviewers because not only am I obsessed with the photos (and now videos), but also because it allows me to let you guys in on one of my geekiest loves: sky pictures. It’s actually ironic because one of my besties used to take pictures of the sky all the time and I used to make fun of him for it every single time. There wouldn’t be one shot that I wouldn’t have some sarcastic comment to bark about. The thing is, I was so consumed with what he was doing that I never really looked at what he was taking the photo of – sheer beauty! Now, I can admit that I have actually hung myself outside of a car window just for a good shot….safety first!
There is just something in me that is completely enamored with the sky. I mean, have you ever really looked at the sky when it is full of clouds and absolutely stunning colors? If not, you should. I promise you that in that very moment, you will swallow in the fact that we are but only a small piece of this thing we call life. It always hits me when I am gawking at the sky, just how big this world really is and that there so much more beyond our daily lives. I am especially fond of clouds as they are, what appears to be, totally reachable pillows that I must lay my head on one day. I am in awe of how close clouds look when you glance up at them, how they move and shape themselves in the sky, and how when spaced apart in just the right way, they can form the most stunning canvas for a sunset. In fact, at the risk of losing all my ‘cool’ credibility, I will admit that I absolutely love flying based on the single fact that there are those few minutes where the plane transitions through the clouds – it’s incredible.
Skyviewers is an Instagram account dedicated to this very same love. Photos are submitted to the page by posting your own stunning sky shots and then tagging their page. Simple as that and it’s fun for the whole Skyviewers family. You can check out their page here and don’t forget to follow them!
Please Note: All photos listed are submissions submitted to the Skyviewers Instagram account. Photo credits and photographers are tagged to each photo they have posted.Pin It
