When going to a weeding, there is a lot to take in. Her dress, their dance, and shall I start on the cake? Along with these aspects of a wedding, I have always been one to admire the flowers that accent a wedding. My eyes are just trained to scan the decor and the arrangements of flowers.
‘A’ and I recently went to a wedding with the most incredible centerpieces full of roses and a personal favorite of mine: hydrangeas. The stunning pink and white theme made the Spring wedding so bright and beautiful. At the end of this wedding, the crew advised everyone that the centerpieces were up for grabs and the second I heard that I gave ‘A’ the eye….. we were going home with one. Naturally, I ensured we got the largest centerpiece and off we went with enough flowers to make six arrangements around our home!
In case you are not familiar, hydrangeas are some of the best flowers to use when making arrangements. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they are also large in size. Therefore, it only takes a few stems to create a full arrangement. They stay in season from Spring to Fall and they come in all sorts of colors. I also find them very easy to care for which allows them to live longer inside the home.
When I add flowers displays to our home I try to be creative with my vase choices. I use candle holders (like the one above) and mason jars that we have around the house to hold some of the arrangements. There are so many ways you can use common house-hold items for flower arrangements and for storage throughout your space. (Check out a few here).
As someone who is not a big rose fan, I was taken back by how much I loved these pink and white roses. They made our home feel so chic and they brightened the place up. Having them around made me appreciate the rose more and want them in the home more often (maybe just not the red ones).
