It finally feels like Fall is here (outside of the random 90 degree days we have had) and I think I am ready to accept it. I’m back to hot coffee in the morning and my sweaters have made their way back into my closet. As prepared as I am, there are a few accessories that I have had my eye on which will help me transition into the Fall season perfectly.
While I am still working towards a more sustainable wardrobe, I did stumble upon some pretty great affordable accessories at Old Navy. These are no doubt fast fashion, but they are some great pieces that transition you in and out of multiple seasons.
I have been wanting to find a pair of casual sneakers for a while now and these adorable faux-suede ones are the perfect pair! Their neutral tones match just about any outfit and they’re just downright cute.
Along with the casual sneakers, I have also been prepping my boots for when the temperatures really start to drop and will be investing in some new (warm) book socks like these knitted cuties. I learned last year how essential a tall boot sock can be, especially in cold weather and for $11, these are a steal.
You will usually see me lugging around an oversized bag that fits the contents of my purse, my work, and my life. Not anymore! I am making a conscious effort this season to get a weekend back that allows me to carry just the essentials and doesn’t come close to fitting my laptop. This faux leather option is both stylish and functional. If you’re looking for functional leather bags, have a look at online outlets such as Parker Clay and others.
My obsession with delicate jewelry continues and I promise you will see this adorable pendant bar necklace wrapped about my neck throughout all of Fall. This beauty is also great for layering which is another favorite trend of my this season and you can’t be the $10 price tag.
I have surprised myself this year in my love for some of the skirts that have shown up for the Fall season. Whether it’s a pleated midi skirt or a mini corduroy version, I am loving the look of a skirt paired with a textured tight. Textured tights can also pair beautifully with styled shorts and dresses which means they are versatile and can help to keep your legs warm as the weather cools down.
Not a surprise on this list is an oversized scarf. I have more scarves than I care to admit, but that will not stop me from buying more. I have a special appreciation for the flannel pattern of this fringed scarf and have a few of the color choices on my wish list.
