I am a little late on this month’s favorites (okay, well really late), but isn’t it always better late than never? While there isn’t too much in the group of favorites this month, the products that are there have been used… a lot!
This month has a few things that you might expect and some products that you might not. Hell, even I am surprised by one or two of these items!
I feel like I am on the never-ending hunt for the perfect dry shampoo. From high-end to drugstore brands, my hair has been sprayed by a multitude of dry shampoos. While I still have yet to find the ‘perfect’ one for me, this Herbel Essence dry shampoo is my current go-to. It smells great, leaves little residue (which is great for us brunettes) and is super affordable!
I recently received these studs from Kendra Scott in my monthly Rocksbox subscription and I can honestly say I have not stopped wearing them since. I am someone who wears a stud earring almost daily and these have been a nice option that helps dress up even the most casual outfit.
Normally I am ride or die for Bath & Body Works hand soaps, but I recently picked up this Mrs. Meyer’s soap while at Target (my home away from home) and I love it. I am mildly obsessed with the Rhubarb scent and while it’s not as moisturizing as the soaps from B&BW, it cleans just as well.
This Pond’s Moisturizer is one of the products that took me by surprise this month. I picked this little guy up as a travel-size moisturizer for a recent trip and it wasn’t until I picked it up to use it that I realized I accidentally grabbed the one for “Dry to Very Dry Skin.” What is a girl with the oiliest skin in the world supposed to do with that? Because it was all I had, I used it as a night-time moisturizer and I have not put it down since. It is a pretty heavy formula so I can’t get away with this during the day, but my skin has been loving the added hydration overnight.
Essie has hundreds of colors to choose from, but I am positive that this shade is the perfect way to finish out summer. E-Nuf is E-Nuf is the perfect blend of coral, orange, red, and even a hint of pink. This is the color that covered my toes during my trip to the Dominican Republic and will be making another appearance before summer officially ends.
If you aren’t subscribed to Jaclyn Hill’s YouTube channel yet, you need to do so immediately. This girl can slay when it comes to makeup. She also slays when it comes to creating the perfect highlighter. The formulation of this product is consistent with the other Simmering Skin Perfectors by Becca, but it is the color that has me swooning. As someone who is fair in skin tone, I struggle with being able to rock any highlighter with a gold shimmer. With Champagne Pop, the peachy undertones make this the perfect highlight shade for all types of skin tones.
Let me know what some of your favorites are for the month of August!
